We had the ribbon cutting by the Early Intervention afternoon classes on Tuesday, October 18th. Senior high students from Hickory High School volunteered time to complete the playground, by helping install fence slats, groundcover, and rubberized mulch.

Executive Director Carol Rich spoke at the brief ceremony preceding the ribbon-cutting saying,"although this project was originated with the disabled in mind, if the able-bodied go away bored, then we have failed. Our mission is to have all kids play together, whatever their abilities."
